Vehicle Impounds
If your vehicle was impounded by the Clayton County Police Department you must obtain a Vehicle Release Form from the Records Unit before the vehicle can be released by the Wrecker Service. In order to obtain a Vehicle Release Form you must come in person to the Clayton County Police Department Records Unit and present:
- Current Tag Registration
OR - Vehicle Title (properly signed)
OR - Notarized Bill of Sale (less than 31 days old)
AND
- Valid Photo Identification
The Clayton County Police Department currently contracts with four wrecker services within Clayton County to provide vehicle impounds. The wrecker services and their addresses are:
